Yet another stealth tax increase (up to 112% over next 2 years) in the latest budget. Is NC within 2000 miles of the UK to be at least in the lowest band A tax increase?

A further article says Europe is within Band A with only a £2 increase. I assume Cyprus falls within that?

I wonder if the stop over in Turkey counts as within Europe and the second leg doesn't count for UK tax? Will also be interesting if the UK counts NC as within Europe for tax purposes won't it.

If they see Cyprus as Europe than they have to see TRNC as Europe as they say it is part of Cyprus!

Monarch seem to be miles ahead with their own stealth taxes, £25.98 EACH PER SUITCASE return and £5.60 PER PERSON BOOKING FEE even on a debit card, taking le piss i think £110 flight becomes £230 with all the fees and taxes and fiddles and stealths and add ons , oh and of course you have to pay for everything on the plane and £2.50 just to BORROW THE HEADSETS.Flights are now dearer than when you paid normal prices with everything include me thinks.......

Cyprus (all of it) is counted as European for travel tax purposes.

Msg 6 - that is a classic example of why I push Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and CTA to North Cyprus.

Re: message 4,

This is not a comment on the thread because I don't know too much about it.

My comment is about the stopover, I always understood that Turkey was in two continents, the Istanbul area was in Europe and the rest of the country was in Asia.
