Well, whatever the UBP or anyone else in KKTC wants following the Orams case ruling by the ECJ, I think what happens now will purely depend on what the Turkish Government want. If they still want the Cyprus problems solved - then they WILL be solved. If not, they won't be solved. Turkey bankrolls the KKTC, he who pays the piper calls the tune!

As I said on a previous thread - Turkey will dictate what happens now.

Yes, Turkeys hands are tied by the IMF, as is the TRNC ,whos recent loan by Turkey was funded by the IMF. I'm sure Turkey wants Cyprus of its hands, but it will want to ensure the TC's get a fair deal (a federation not unitary state). Turkey, will under no circumstances, want to feel as though it has lost to the GC's. If the power in the negotiations has now shifted to the GC's (which surely it has) , and if, (and only if) the GC's take advantage of this power by completely screwing the TC's, then, if I was Turkey I would try and redress the power and quicken the negotiations by carrying out explicit military operations (war games) on the Northern side of the island. The GC's might need reminding that both sides have allot to lose by not agreeing a mutually agreeable solution.
