| Ulra violet is good for sterilizing the water that passes through it. However it leaves no residual sterilizer in the water. So, when the pump stops and the UV switches off, the sterilization stops and whatever contamination is left in the water or finds its way into the water before the pump switches on again, will not be treated. UV can be part of the answer but not the total answer on its own. |
