What are people's experiences of the success or failure of this new initiative. I am not having much luck with my complaint and it seems to be a simple case of them not being able to get to speak to the builder or the lawyer, therefore they cannot move forward. Surely it shouldn't be as easy as this for the builder or lawyer to avoid action by just not co-operating. Regards

Hi Brenda, Any luck? Cases like yours should highlight how much clout the Property Information Office has. You would think that they could make a decision without the builders and solicitors attendance/response and then if they dispute this they are required to appeal against any decision and this would necessitate their attendence to negotiate. If you can't even start the process because the builder and solicitor can't be reached then the whole process is doomed and will never be effective. Have you asked the PIO what the next step is if they continue to fail to communicate?

Hi Wynyardman, bought 5 years enjoying it can,t really say I,m ever worried, future may change for TRNC ,but never doubt villa will always be ours. Agreements may reached, but I truly believe Governments will settle all property issues at their level, not individuals.

Hi pilgrim Hobgoblins nor foul fiends will daunt our spirits either, I only wish I could include TRNC builders,Estate agents and solicitors! If youve been resident for 5 years, your 90% of the way! On the political front I agree with you, matters will eventually sort themselves out. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Take care, Wynyardman
