Just read this on line.Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, who embarked on his first official visit abroad to Turkish occupied northern Cyprus has openly declared Turkey’s support for 'Turkish Cyprus' on every kind of issue, reports Hurriyet. "Turkey, every time, from events in the past and from now, in every process, will support northern Cyprus and Turkish Cypriots. I promise this and also salute our every Turkish Cypriot brother in the name of Turkish people," Davutoğlu said. The new foreign minister also said Turkey is supporting the negotiations between the Greek and Turkish sides of the island. - Copyright © Famagusta Gazette 2009 Ronaldo

I think it's quite clear. 1. He supports the talks. 2. When they fall out of bed, Turkey will continue to support TRNC. In the mean time Turkey must be seen to be doing everything it can to avoid being accused by GC's that they have sabotaged the talks.

Dee - I'm inclined to agree with you. "Conspicuous by it's absence" indeed. Hope you're both well. Jean

Msg 5,6&7, Think about it: Once upon a time, construction and selling villas to foreigners was TRNC's biggest industry. If they lose the trust of the expats and holiday home owners, they'll never sell another house to another foreigner. Tourism is shot so it would be back to selling lemons/oranges.
