Dr Hasan Sav in Nicosia is the diabetes specialist I use. First class man. tel 0392 228 2272 email hasan.sav@superonline.com. I use local hospital in Girne to do blood tests etc. Prescription drugs like metformin and all the glicasides etc are available over the counter to buy. Just do what we all do and that is get repeat prescriptions for your UK doctor and stock up here Vince

Hi Martiney My hubby is also diabetic, insulin dependant, and we have checked out some the pharmacies when we have been over and he can buy everything thing he needs. Even Accu-check for his blood counts Viking

Msg 4. Surely what you are doing getting repeat prescriptions is illegal? and I wouldn't say that everyone is doing that.

Woodspeckie - With respect, I have no doubt that Mr Vince has contributed to the health system in UK for a long time and in view of what all the politicians have been up to recently there is no comparison.

Viking I assume you must be on Human Insulin. Pork Insulin has been on the market for many many years.
