i think it was a pity that the orams didn't try to sort it out with mr a in the first place, rather than letting this go the distance. but then i guess they thought they would win.

Think they didnt get a choice to settle the claim, straight to the courts. has any one actually spoken to the Orams?

They gave a talk at the HBPG last year. Their advice to prospective buyers was not to buy until everything was sorted out.They felt the risks were too high.

They were positive but realistic and knew that years of court battles were ahead as Mr A was only ever interested in the return of his property. He would not have settled for any form of compensation. Therefore there never was anything to negotiate.



I think the minutes from their talk is still on the HBPG site.
