Does anyone know of a restaurant that can offer gluten free options? Am interested in everything from a quick snack to dinner in the evening to cake and coffee.

Think you will be really lucky to find a restaurant that even knows what a gluten free diet is I think the way forward is to go armed with a list of products that you can eat and just ask for it that way. A lot of restaurants will try to comply with your diet but stick to the better ones as the smaller ones might just tell you what you want to hear and feed you what they have!

The gluten free society (can't remember it's proper name) will provide you with a recipe book for free. Any UK health centre should be able to give you the societies details.

Did you mean the Coeliac Society? They provide a free booklet for meal planning and foodstuffs to avoid, but only allow those in the catering industry to apply for it, not sure why that would be.

Thanks guys. She knows everything about her own life in terms of what she can eat etc. She even gets gluten free food on prescription would you believe. I just wanted to be able to take her out for dinner and not have it ruin her holiday.

Lilli - I had a feeling you guys would be able to do gluten free. I'll check out your website and will pay you a visit when she comes. Thanks.

It is true that service plays a very important role in the running of a restaurant. Personnally, i really agree that restaurant should try it's best to offer customer prompt and convinient service. Customer usually become impatient when they can't get timely service, and they have to cry out loudly or keep waving hands, restaurant calling system can help to solve this problem, it includs buttons that placed on tables, and display sreen carried by waiters, when customers need service he just need to press buttons and then waiters will receive it. You can find the similar products on website such as http://www.finyelectronics.com
