Vet Check for dogs in Alsancak

My neighbour was given a leaflet in Atakara from Alsancak belediyesi today asking all dog owners in Alsancak area to take dogs for a vet check on various mornings this week and next. We live in Karsiyaka and I just wondered if anybody knows what this check is for?

Think its the registration thing.... it happens every year, think last year they got a pill for some kind of worm thin.

Do you know if Lapta belediye do the same? When we moved last year we asked the muhtar in Karsiyaka if we needed to register our dog and he said no?

Yes Lapta Belidye do the same. We went last year with the dog they didn't even look at her gave us a dog licence and 2 tabs. Then took the MONEY. But beware the water reader guy tells then the villas that have dogs and they send the Belidye guy down with a warning that you will be procecuted if you don't declare you have a dog.

Last year it was in the field between SilverRocks and the Lapta strip.

It ıs in a feild up near the sunny lane school as far as I am aware - my 2 dogs went thıs morning got an injenction and a licence for each - 20 tl each dog.
