Hi steevy,

When I was out there in April, there was a guy selling fruit trees and palms from the back of a trailer near to Supreme supermarket. They come from the Turkish Mainland and are 10ytl each, which I thought was excellent value.

The butlers wife,

Unfortunately he said he was picked up by the police once to often and has decided not to bother coming back over.

There is a guy who has a small gardening centre between the Mare Monte and the Capitano restaurant but on the opposite side, it is called Uzun Ciceklik. He has good prices and everything you see in his centre is such good quality. I have bought off him for the last 5 years and everything so far has grown well.

Why not try the goverment nursery in Güzelyürt? They sell really cheap trees there.

We went to the government nursery near the stadium (Nicosia) and we bought Miya Form for 3LT each (garden centres around Girne were asking 10TL for the same thing).

The guy at the side of Supreme only comes in the winter time anyway - too late in the year now to be planting trees and bushes so he will be away till around Dec/Jan next year. Same as last year!
