There was no charge to enter, the booze was reasonable, the music great mine hoste entertaining and the Bingo wonderful to watch ..........................

I am glad there was a good turn-out for Hillside yesterday, however, I hope that people will still go there even if there is no free buffet. Its upsetting to know all the work they put into it.

=> Ah! Must be a British habit, I'm afraid. Saw it happen before in another place. It was Xmas day, a free buffet and some free drinks. Boy, was it busy! Alas, never saw them again till next Xmas...

Well dee, all I can say is it's your loss. We've had many a good night, with excellent company at Hillside.

You couldn't get a drink at the bar...............................

The queue for food was much longer than the queue for the bar......but still people managed to get three

helpings of FREE food.

If you go on a 'normal' evening, no problem, how can they possibly staff the bar for these extenuatingly

busy evenings??????

What comes to mind here is most brits would queue or free opening of an envelope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
