Just read somewhere that if a child is under 18 they do not need a residency permit. Does this mean that when they enter through Turkey they don't get a 3 month stamp or they do but it doesn't matter if it runs out. Can someone who has been through this or understands the system please advise me. Thanks in advance, Paul

it doesn't matter if it runs out as long as the parents have reidency stamps. under 18's are covered by yours until they reach 18, when they have to do residency. our son will have to do his in september but has been here for years. i hope this helps.

Fire starter, just the answer I was hoping for thank you. No it gets more complicated. My daughter is on a russian passport but my concern is for her crossing to the south and back. I assumed if I got her residency it would be OK but if she doesn't get residency then will she be OK to travel back and forth as I am hoping to get her into the american acadamy in Nicosia and I believe that is in the south.
