| The "Fisherman" restaurant in Kyrenia was mentioned in relation to an incident of food poisoning supposedly due to serving puffer fish. Was there any truth in this claim and shouldn't it be clarified and published? "Tunny" who runs this little bar/restaurant is a decent chap whom I have known for years. I'm sure he can do without negative publicity if it is not deserved!!! Whoever started the topic please advise. |

| I agree that this was indeed very bad publicity for the Fisherman's restaurant - I go there about once a week when I am in TRNC and enjoy his white fish with the trimmings - its always excellent so I was, firstly worried when I read the article, then I thought I would go again and I am still here to tell the tale. The Fishermans has a limited menu but and I say but - what is on offer is all very good and well presented - I enjoy the meal every time I go there. I see from my Daily Mail yesterday that a lady was "poisoned" by oysters at Quaglinos in London! The Cyprus Today article is hopefully soon forgotten and now this weeks fish and chip paper! |
