In your thread title you ask about best, in the text you ask about cheap.

Be careful, they are not always the same thing. Do not confuse cheapness with good value for money.

Shes only a kid, she probably misworded.

I think she means where can she buy good chemicals for a cheap price. North cyprus is amazing- you can find the same brands with a very big difference in prices.

My posting was because I am always amazed that some people, not Alie121, look for the cheapest, when they should be looking for the best value for money.

Let me ask you:

Do you buy the cheapest food/clothes?

Do you drink the cheapest wine?

When your children are sick do you try to find the cheapest doctor, or worse, the cheapest surgeon?

Very true vaughan, cheap is not always best.as also expensive isnt always best.

value for money is maybe for a better word!

Alie 121

maybe your parents can look at our website http://www.zerochloreuropean.com

if you are sensative to chlorine we offer a alternative to chlorine for your swimming pool. which is a chlorine free swimming pool.

TRNCVAUGHAN thanks for your invaluable comments on how to spend my money on the best products for not only my diet but also my childrens welfare. I have noticed you trade as octupus pools just to let you know in view of your conderscending comments i wouldn't spend my money with you if you where the last pool company on the island.

PS keep up the good work you will soon have no customers at all.

In defence of Vaughan, who is eminently capable of his own defence, I did not find his comments in any way condicending, as chrism did.

Anyone who knows Vaughan knows him to be honest and helpfull, with a large tongue stuck firmly in his cheeks.

If there is anyone on this island who gives free and honest opinion on swimming pool topics then it is Vaughan.

the best place for both Chlorine and ph down is Offsetsan Ltd (from Girne, head to Lefkosia - as "stones" roundabout turn right and keep going - its about 5 miles on the left, just past Mini dealers) - ask for "Nil", she speaks perfect English and is very helpful.

Tele 0392 224 05 10

These people are wholesalers, but will sell to the public at "trade" prices and the products are high quality (chlorine we bought was 90% strenght).

chrism.

i think if you knew vaughan you would maybe this a little diffrent.

but i understand your feelings regarding thinking some 1 is trying to tell you how to suck eggs if you like, but like some of the people do say,he is really a helpful chap.

in saying all that, do have a read of my website http://www.zerochloreuropean.com

if your interested in a alternative to chlorine at around the same price as chlorine, also were based in catalkoy, not to far from you i guess.

I cant understand when someone is asking about buying a product that the prices are rarely mentioned. Surely this would save a lot of time and travelling if we have some comparisons of different companies. I have just paid 55 euros for a tub of 90% chlorine at the garden shop next to mambos bar in Alsancak, so was that expensive or not ? Would welcome any sensible replies.

Many thanks

Steve

if so somthing tells me it may well not be 90%.

but then again ive been known to be wrong in the past!!

if its 25kg and 90% i dont think its expensive, although i always thought it was 92% or slightly higher and not 90%?

and yes i agree,we should answer with prices!

Hi, why were you charged euros... we live in Northern Cyprus... the currency is the Turkish Lira?

Why do they do this... I went to look at T.V's the other day & was quoted in euros, sterling & dollars?! Why.. we don't live in Europe, UK or America. What is it with this...! Am I missing something?!

msg 15,

They buy from abroad in Euros or dollars.

If they were to price the goods in TL, they would need to change the price tickets every day - or even more often, to keep up with the fluctuations in the exchange rate.

In countries where the currency is relatively stable, such as the UK or USA, they don't have this problem.

Keith.

Zerochlor

It was a 25kg container and I assume 90% as my friend that cleans pools told me to get it there and said that was what it was.

Mia100max

He said 55 euros but gave him 140 tl in the end.

Offset products are good. I use them for my pool requirements. The are also the cheapest for most chemicals. The chlorine is 90%. They will also deliver and give price in Turk Lira.

"Make" your own chemicals with an Aligator system. Low chlor or no chlor - it's up to you.
