My mum has a spare sky box as she got it put in another room and then didnt wants it etc etc... anyway, if she were to bring it here for me, would i get to watch all the channels that you would get on the basic package, like just on a digi box? You know all the BBC's, ITV's etc... Im living with friends, they dont have digiturk and im having serious Eastenders withdrawls!!! OR, has anyone found a legitimate safe way of watching tv online for a fee or is that asking too much!!!? Wish that damn BBC iplayer would start working here!!

Trudy, you are obviously getting withdrawal symptoms for the UK - what with your requirements for Eastenders and a Big Mac in another thread. ))

Hi Trudy You can access the BBC IPlayer but you need to hide your IP as the BBC site can tell that you are accessing its site from outside the UK. For licensing reasons they are not allowed to give you access. However, all is not lost as there are companies that for a small fee will allow you access sites via one of their UK based proxy servers. To all intents and purposes, the BBC will see you accessing their site from within the UK and you will be able to download or stream content via IPlayer. There are also software packages which enable you to hide your IP. Suggest you put "Hide IP" into Google and you should be able to find a company/software that can assist. Regards Paul

Does anyone recommend a provider that I can use to override my IP address that would enable me to watch IPlayer etc whilst in Cyprus. Not wanting to download, just watch the odd catch up. Thanks

Easties is one of those programmes that even if you havent watched it in months, somehow after watching a few episodes you seem to fall back into it! I remember being forced to watch it with my nana when i was about 2 so by now, some 22 years later im kind of hooked and miss it!! It does get depressing though but then what soap doesnt!!?

Trudy/sienna. I'm not a regular viewer of 'enders, but I do watch it from time to time - it makes my life seem so much more exciting My bet for the father of 'ev's baby is Archie! George Michael is a nice idea, I agree, but if anyone was going to 'turn him into a heterosexual' I can't see it being poor old Heather! Happy viewing the pair of you Jean(nie) - can't make my mind up this morning! PS Why has no-one in Albert Square got a washing machine? J

Sienna, what do you use to watch it? Do you have Digiturk? Yeah archie was a creep but he was more likely to have got janine or someone like that pregnant! It would be good if it was Minty, she loves him doesnt she... Hope it aint Gary!

Well, just to spoil it for those who are not up-to-date (sorry Trudy) rumour has it that Ian Beale's caff blows up with Nasty Nick ('allo Ma) inside, amongst others. Minty is not a bad idea, as, yes, 'ev does love 'im. I think Minty and Gary are an absolute win double - funniest twosome on tele since Morecambe and Wise (or Jack and Vera). J x

Yeah little Dotty reminds me of Wednesday from Addams family with those long pigtails! She is cute though very kiniving! Coldsat? Is that better than Digiturk? This is probably a very silly question but do you need a phone line for any of these tv things? God, im so clueless!
