Has anyone bought a bungalow from Kavanlar in Karsiyaka down by the sea in a block of five.? if so do you know when it will be finished?

We bought a kavanlar bungalow in Karsiyaka but in the development near the main road. We were out there during last week w/e 24/05/09 they were working on yours during the week. If ours is anything to go by it is now 20 months since they started and they are promising final completion by end of June. You will have to go there about 1 month before completion to arrange electrical and water meters this must be done in person. We are going back around 20/06/09 if we can be of any help let me know.

thank you for your help. They have promised mine would be finished and the end of July and I have booked flights but I cant see it being ready, as yours were well advanced when I came out in January. Do you know if the water and electric will be at the bungalows and it will just be a matter of connection or do I have to pay for meters?

Yes we have bought on the same development of 5. Ilker has been very professional with us and the whole team do their very best to meet requirements. I am led to understand that the 5 properties should be ready end August, hope so as we intend to visit in September.

I am going to cancelled my flight for end of august as I was told it would take a month to get the electric connected, have you heard anything about it?. What number have you bought, ? I am number 2. I am coming out in october

We have bought plot 4. Had'nt heard about the electric although perhaps not suprising as it is a completely new supply.

thanks very much I would appreciate that. The water wont be a problem as we can get tankered water I have been recommended to Yusuf tel 8855659 for water, 10tl per ton and 70tl for the tanker. I will be over on the 14th oct, hope to see you then. You will over before me so will know the score by them.

I have just heard that they are staying within the guidelines of the contract ie the 15 month time scale. We signed in August 2008 so property will be ready November. If this is the case they I think we will change our next trip to October. Thanks for the tip on the water.

Just heard from Ilker and Hulya at Kavanlar that completion should be first week October. The latest photos from Unwins and the payment request seem to support this. Have you an update. Also as we are to be neighbours have you a UK email address so we can liaise and perhaps save each other a lot of time and trouble in accomplishing our mutual goals?

Hello you two.



I've bought plot no.1 through Unwins too. I believe they sold all 5 of the plots.



Been up to the site yesterday, and pool tiling has been completed on ours, and plot no.2 was just finishing off; seems they are working their way down.



Still worry about the access road....hope to see Hulya or Ilker soon for an update. Out here for another two weeks.



Hope we can share a drink sometime soon.

Thanks for the update. I would also be interested in the access road. Ilker told me that it was being sorted out by the Town Hall as the planning approval showed the access via the olive groves. If you get to know anything please let me know.

Hi Tony,



We're meeting tomorrow morning, so will ask the question (it was already on our list)

We finally discovered how to get vehicular access to the site, right round the back and by the military camp on the beach, but it's obviously not ideal.



I think the problem with the proper access road was with some of the land being privately owned and the owner refusing to sell.



Will update tomorrow or Thursday.

Hi Glad its going well, I have not had an update for a month now (no2) I am coming out on the 29th August for one week and again on the 14th October for 6 weeks hope we can meet up. If we all ask for electric at the same time it might happen quicker. my email address is shchippings@ukonline.co.uk . I think it takes years to get PTP. We gained access by turning right by the old bus stop , going to the end and turning right again, it comes out at the pool side |The other road was blocked when we were there. keep us informed as please,

Hi all think you all need to be pushing for that road..!!! the first few bungalows have been there about 5yrs now,We are about to have our first winter here..just beside the bungalows you are talking of..Last winter when we came to visit the fields were very bad around March after the rains..We had a little chat with perhaps grimupnorth.? But good luck to you all,and with getting the road work done.!! They all look very nice.

We were in karsiyaka at end of June and Kavanlar were just digging the trenches to lay the water pipes and electricity cables for our site and we have just paid for our Meters to be fitted this week hopefully they will be done as we are coming out again 23/8/09. Have not seen any sign of the road work that you speak of. We also had our PTP about 4 months ago after 18 months of waiting.

is your place near our bungalows?. They are on the sea side. how much were the meters. I am afraid I bought in a rush without knowing anything In my ignorance I thought the meters would be in and conected when finished. the pool filled up and the water on.. How stupid am I!!.

I have bought a Kavanlar bungalow just off the main road behind the yellow shops.

I took possession and moved in in June,very impressed with the build.Managed to get the pool sorted whilst there and had many a swim in it. When the complex is finished it will be superb.

It looks like I've latched on to this thread a bit late. We bought the end plot nearest the sea ( January 08) I think its No.5.



Havn't been to look at it yet just had the monthly updates from Unwins. Have been told by Kavanlars that they are still on schedule for an end of august completion (I don't think so)



We havn't booked any flights yet, thought we would wait until we get confirmation from unwins that its definately finished.



At the risk of sounding stupid, "whats a TPT "?



I posted a message the other day about getting the electric on and had some good advice which made it all sound very simple.



If there is going to be a problem we would be more than happy to coordinate with you lot to get all the bungalows done at the same time.

frangi its called a permission to purchase which should have been supplied by your builder. If in doubt contact the other owners or the HPBG . The will all help you. I love your name and I love the italian drink frangipian xxx

Thanks for the quick response. We will check with the builder. I get the feeling that lots of help is available from everybody who's already been through this.



I have to admit I am not a frangipani, I'm the husband of a lovely lady who just loves the frangipani flower which seem to grow very happily in NC. I,m convinced thats the main reason she talked me into buying a house over there.

I don't think she has ever had the frangipian drink but I,m guessing that could be another thing on the list. (whats in it, she's already curious)
