Has anyone had problems using their flex account cash card? We have tried a couple of banks here and it says use not authorised. We have contacted Nationwide and they say this card is linked to Mastercard and they have had many people in various locations being unable to use ATM's. They are working on the problem at present.

Has anyone successfully used theirs recently and at what bank?

We did successfully use it in the south today but that is not much use for TL.

95% success rate only the occasional obscure bank no problem .There is one machine at Ercan that always says no but all the rest are ok!

Lilli,

I beg to differ. It is a bank problem not a machine problem.

When I lived in the TRNC my Natwest Bank, HSBC, Barclays Debit Cards all worked fine but my Yorkshire Bank card was never accepted, the message always came back "unable to complete transaction".

Again with Credit Cards I could use Natwest Mastercard, Barclays Barclaycard, HSBC Mastercard but my Capital One card was invariably refused by ATM's and when purchasing goods.

By the way, I also had trouble using my Garanti Bank Visa Credit Card in the UK. A friend of mine in the USA also had trouble with his Bank of America Credit Card when he tried to use it in the UK, but his Debit Card worked fine!

Hi. Had problem yesterday. Started at Turkbank Alsancak, on down to Turkbank Karaoglanoglu, then universal. Finally got some money out at Jasmin Court. Had the same problems a few months ago. Seems ok today so can only assume it was a phone line problem
