"but, due to land issues, buyers must ensure property has a pre-1974 British or Turkish title and use a solicitor unconnected with the developer."

They glossed over that little problem quickly didn't they?

AND....£65K for a 1 Bed apartment?.....are they having a laugh?

Trudy....I meant that for £65K you should be able to find 2 apartments......not on that all singing all dancing development of course !

£65K would probably get you a detached bungalow in Tatlisu these days.

What are they on? I thought the Daily mail was anti-drugs! Seems like they are on something - may be they'll get all those disgraced MP's to move thier 'hard earned cash' to buy property in the TRNC

Maybe along with a lot of other people and organisations they are trying to give a little support and a confidence boost to a situation that appears to many to be rock bottom -at the moment- and needs a leg up?

Things will bounce back but it takes a bit longer when people kick you in the ballhooks, when you are struggling

Makes you more determined and stronger when you do return tho`...

Redsnapper.....I agree....nothing wrong with support and a confidence boost as long as it is not false hope !

The TRNC govt could do a LOT more to attract buyers by massively reforming the property laws.

Who do you consider is "kicking you in the ballhooks" by the way?

Not me personally stopping a boot but i feel that anyone connected to NC at the moment must be feeling a touch down or dinted due to the current situation with property problems and non-recognition and also as people mention the non action and passive stance of the authorities.

Many have hopes that the new government are slowly changing things but it will be a slow process.

I see light at the end of the tunnel and i dont think it`s the train heading towards me!

I know i cant speak for some of the more unfortunate ones who have not got what they paid for and were promised -that is shocking but help may come in the future, hopefully.

A start was made handing the Amaranta defrauder over...
