just returned from north cyprus.just like to mention what a good time we had in stevies bar,and what good food is served up by gengis and the kitchen staff.great night on fridays,b b q night plenty of meze and dancing with a good sing song.ate in there many times and couldnt fault it.linda and steve great hosts and went out of their way to help us.steve if you happen to read this we will see you in september.good luck and all the best mate gary and elaine,say hello to gengis and the staff for us. lol xxxxx

So are they still alowing people to light up whilst the next table are eating and is Stevie still carrying plates to customers with a fag in his hand? Whilst this is happening we will never visit again, no matter how good the food and entertainment are.

....have to admit (we are non smokers and don't disapprove of people who want to smoke) but we did find that the smokers hanging around the barjust too much!!

the onlytime i saw steve smoke was at the bar and most of the time he went outside to smoke.never saw him serve any food as gengis wont allow him.he was only serving the drinks,and then i never saw him with a cig in his hand.we are non smokers ourselves,and most people out of respect went outside to smoke.until there is a smoking ban in the establishments in north cyprus i think it is up to ourselves to have a qiute word if some one is smoking next to ourselves.this may help the situation. lol gary and elaine

hiya clayton thier is a smoking ban now. I know its not supposed to come into effect until Jan 2010 but we get visits from the smoking police a fair bit. You have to have seperate areas now with ventliation otherwise smoker and owner risk fine. When I questioned that its not law yet I was told We are practising but still fine you xxxx

Where is this bar please, could people who recommend place please let us that don,t know the area very well yet please tell us where places are and maybe some directions it will be very helpful and appreciated. We read about lots of places folks recommend but never where they are, also is this place called Stevies?. Cheers

the place is called stevies bar,if you take the road towards tatlisu pending where you are coming from,you will stay on the main coastal road you pass the esentepe turning carry on for a few miles you will then pass the poppin on your left handside,carry on for a couple more miles,looking at signs on the left hand side of the road you will go past signs for the moulis inn,not long after these you will see the sign on left for stevies bar,take the turning immediately in front of it.if you should miss this dont worry there is a sign a bit further on.also worth trying the other bars which i have mentioned.hope this helps.

In last week and didn't see Stevie smoking at all. He only bought drinks candles and sauces as Gengis looks after the food.

Noted Niazzis still allow smoking inside. We like the place but huge cigars are not on when eating.

Had a very good sunday lunch last month whilst out there, thought the atmosphere very friendly, service good and I discovered that Efes comes in a very large glass.



Will definatley visit again when out in July

Yes there is a taxi in Tatlisu near the brand ne Mosque /petrol station 10 mins from Stevies bar .
