Not being in Cyprus, I am just picking up on the news that Gary Robb is sueing Ankara for £50 million (or perhaps euros?) for breach of his human rights. I have no other interest apart from oviously feeling really sorry for all Aga buyers, and the fact that his club, the Colosseum is in Norton where I was brought up. However, I would be fascinated to know more and any opinions. Obviously we do not get to read the Cyprus papers when in England.

No, I just picked it up on Frank and Joan and then had a look at the ABAG site. He is currently in jail over here and due back in Teesside court on drugs charges. Even if he gets his citizenship back, he is likely to serve a long sentence over her. His brother, James, got 12 years.

Hi Lilli Thanks for that. Is there any way to sign up for an email to be sent directly? I do like to stay informed and we always buy Cyprus Today as soon as we arrive in Cyprus.

Hi ABAG Yes, I had found that by googling. Gob-smacking. If I am still in England when the court case comes up, will go and listen to proceedings. My uncle lived behind the Colosseum and gave graphic descriptions of the night it was raided, with helicopters circulating overhead etc. It was a club, but had no drinks license, so makes you think.

Hi Navek I might be being very dense, but I could not find the reference to Aga on that website. However, it is a really interesting website that I have not seen before, so nwill add it to my favourites, so many thanks.

Do you think that it is likely that if he wins £50 000 000 and gets 12 years in jail, that he will finish Amanranta? It is not a rhetorical question, I am really interested in answers.

He won't get a penny as this is the usual coffee shop gossip with no foundation in fact. Where is the credible source? Nowhere. As for the "citizenship" nonsense this will go nowhere. What the heck does a man facing a long time behind bars in the UK want to do with pretendy citizenship for a place that won't exist by the time he is ever released? He'll never be back in Cyprus.

He had not been here long enough to gain citizenship - I expect a large sum of money found its way into a government officials pocket - his citizenship is null and void.
