Can anyone help, is there a set distance that properties have to be separated by and if so is it stated anywhere? Our property is nearing completion and feel as though the property in front of ours is a little close. Any thoughts !

you have to have 3 metres to your border, therefore it should be 6metres between the 2 houses. that is the law so if you havenot got 6 metres it would be hard to get your deeds.

When you mention between houses does this include between pools as well.

I don't think pools count I have seen several whose surrounding terrace go right onto the boundary line - water less than 1 meter away from the neighbours property Mark
