My friends car has somehow self locked itself with the keys in. Any advice before we smash the window. We cant get a coat hanger in as there is no button to lift as it is set in the door. The car is a nissan micro so if anyone has likewise in the Alsancak area perhaps they could try their keys.

When I was NCIS this evening and they had to open a locked car and I was watching intently in case I ever needed to do it. It seemed she put something long and flat in, did a quick twist and there you have it, door open. Haven;t tried it myself yet though.

tarry, where is the spare key? If it's central locking you can open the doors by standing near the car and getting someone on the end of a mobile phone to press the 'open' button on the remote control, (apparently)

I believe if it's central locking you can put a tennis ball or similar, with a slit in it, next to the lock and hit it hard, the air released should open the lock, never tried it myself but have been told it works.
