| the ground floor area of my house (room facing the sea) has big damp issues - they (the developer) propose hacking off the render and re rendering then redecorating does anyone know what the building spec is for damp proofing in cyprus? is it is DPC? injected render or something else? thanks in advance |

| Is it damp on the inside? Where ever they are taking off the render it would require tanking, a waterproof barrier to stop it coming through again. It will not prevent the damp but stop it showing. There is a possibility that it still could rise above the tanking. I do not know if there is a fullproof solution, maybe damp prevetion with chemicals but do not know if it works on concrete structures. It seems that they are less concerned over here about damp in building techniques. Col |
