I noticed that one of top floor apartments has had canvas interwoven on the pergola to give some shade, this looks great and some cover is needed up there,I have seen people laid out out on the roof tiles in the full sun but it is a bit much for me. Can anyone give me the measurements of the pergola as I assume that the phase 3 ones will be the same size, also what is supplied with the bbq as far as grilling racks etc. I also would like to say how impressed we were by the standard of cleanliness and the personal touches on the stairs and landing areas in phase 2. We are still a way off that level of course but you have set the standards

Hi, Ours is 4.6m long x 3m deep {out from the wall} We were quoted 600 pounds out there, but are taking out material that cost 30 pounds cut to the right lengths, putting curtain wire through stitched loops in the ends + locating them through hooks. Then you can take them off easy when you want. HP

Thanks High Priest . We were thinking along similar lines so your info is very useful,we were thinking of putting metal eyelets in the canvas and hooking on but your curtain wire idea sounds good.

Hi High Priest, Sorry for going off topic, slightly. "Ours is 4.6m long x 3m deep {out from the wall} We were quoted 600 pounds out there" Sounds like someone was trying to take you for a ride, £600 against £30. I think some people when quoting just say the 1st thing that comes into their head. Telephone numbers possibly. Shame, as they must lose a lot of custom, and you're unlikely to return to them in the future. Unfortunately it happens all to often. Navek

I can't remember whether the 4.6 m includes extra to go under the last wooden piece. I think if the hooks are on the inside it will be a bit stronger. Yes Navek taken for a ride at £600 we were. They would have to cut to size , stitch the ends + provide hooks + wires, but yes doing it ourselves for £30 is the answer even though my wife has already cut the pieces of material to the wrong length. Will have to piece them when we arrive.

Of course, she has a proper professional job unlike me + is the main earner as you know, thank God. She is the light of my life, but finds it difficult to measure material. D
