Arrogance has nothing to do with it. Home Secretary is one of the top three offices of government and the public can be assured that as someone selected for this high office, Jacqui Smith was well chosen. I'm sure the porno movie was an innocent mistake and it is reprehensible that the plebians make lurid and unsubstantiated allegations. Her decision to "stand down at the next election" has nothing to do with the payoff that will arise, simply a genuine desire [like MPs in a similar situation] to represent the views of her constituents.

I think the writing is on the wall now for GB. Even the ' Gaurdian ' has come out this morning calling for him to go and they have always been pro labour. I think we will hear more about these MPs who are at the moment jumping ship, as the inquirery into the expenses fraud gets fully into swing. Too many standing down for

' family ' reasons to be true. Three words come to mind, rats, jumping and ship!!!!!

Jacqui Smith will go down has the worst HS in history, as for arrogance you are showing that by refering to other people on this site as plebs, as for has unsubstantiated allegations no newspaper would publish them if they were not true due to having court action bought against them.
