WHY oh WHy does AJ feel he can post a fib and close a thread.. viz..

>>>I know why you are targeting Dopi but unfortunately others on this board do not.<<<

I'm not "targeting" Dopi - I just know that anyone paying for a year up front is going to lose money - Dopi became a target for anti-piracy measures when they chose to use the same platform as legit TV companies to illegally de-crypt pay tv.

Now instead of closing the thread , please *tell* the members how I will "gain" from the demise of Dopi...

Better you might tell 'em how you and Izzie will refund them their lost dosh... They WILL lose their feed.... I know it..

As I said before - I don't hide my ID and live in the UK - If I'm talking tosh - I can be sued - I don't hide my real name or whereabouts.... !

In as little words as possible: 6xm is right, VERY right. If you don't believe it = you're getting what you deserve. You'd better read what's going on and inform yourself. Free advice, try Google.

Hi Mark,

All we have at the mo is an aerial outlet on the wall in our new villas living room. Can you let us know what we can get from ordinary TV and what are the packages up from this and who to recommend.

Would appreciate your help.

Regards,

Tiggy.

RE msg 6, Tiggy > Would appreciate your help. <

=> Tiggy, I'm absolutely sure that 6xm will answer this way: "I don't operate in TRNC".

Hi Patrick

re msg 6

Using a conventional antenna and most UK/ IRL TVs will get you a picture but no sound - as CY broadcasters using a different sound frequency :( CY terrestrial broadcasters use PAL- BG and we use PAL-I

Many ex-pats choose sat TV as the local content is either in TR or GR - evenings you might see a Eng lang movie ....

with a 1m sat dish you can't get much for free from Turkish or Greek broadcasters - but you can get good ENG lang content from a satellite called Nilesat - including BBC World

Upping to a 1.8M will get you UK channels like BBC News 24, CNN, and radios 1-4...

Via the red interactive button you'll get many BBC sports events.... subscribing - using a SKY HD box will get you a great many UK pay tv channels - but not BBC 1/ 2 / 3 / 4 ) or with an IRL SKY card not RTE, etc)

THAT is why you hear of folk going for a 4.2m and this allows the viewing of the main UK / IRL channels

You can pm me if you need more info

Dear Patrick re msg 10

pm = private mail ( as in email me off the board ! )

Nilesat, plus a receiver and install should cost you c. £150-200 max.. insist on a 1m dish if you are going to be in CY when it is the rainy season - to avoid prolonged loss of signal.

Hi Tiggy

I have got Nilesat. It was installed by Tektan who have shops in both Girne and on the west coast road. Install took about an hour and all in (dish, sat box, cost of install) was £150. It is a one off payment and I find the english speaking channels sufficient to keep me happy.

Regards

Paul

Thanks Dawn & Paul, Nilesat seems to be good. We are in the Bogaz region, wonder if the installers will travel over to the "beautiful side" or anyone know a local installer?

Thanks one and all for all the help.

Yeh ok, you know my e-mail address so e-mail me and I will give you my mobile number and we can meet to discuss your problems. But I would suggest when we do meet that you turn up sober because I do not like to have a reasoned discussion with anyone that has had a lot to drink.

Aj many things I may have said but i do not recall posting 'Aj boring sanctimonious condescending and a prat'

deecyprus4

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/prat perhaps

the guy from the south knows aj thus posted prqat with 1 t instead of 2 ?

Or he could be dyslexic and used a pp instead of a t who knows ??

Either way it is not the done thing to engage in name calling life is far to short and it is much nicer to be friendly.

Rose/firestarter, I hardly think you are in any position to cast aspersions about anyone..you enjoy the most vile form of bullying against all the brits who post on here...some may have forgotten that you called us scum..I have not..go and play on the other forum with your gc friends...that is where you heart is..there are many who post on here who do not know the true personality you portray on the other forum..nasty little infidel that you are
