IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN you are allowed to use your uk license for up to a month then you need to apply to get a TRNC Motorbike License....

Kavenkoy Isn't it illegal to ride a 100cc moped/bike on a UK driving license in the UK?? Isn't the limit 50 cc ?? Why would you want to do something illegal in TRNC ??

This is what happened to me.I imported a 500cc motorbike. My TRNC licence only covered me for 50cc NO GEARS bike.My valid uk licence is for all groups ie;trucks, buses and a full bike licence.Licence office said You must take test for bike,My reply,if the test costs 1ytl and lasts only 5 minutes i am NOT doing it.So when riding bike uk licence in pocket,Driving car TRNC licence in pocket.I presented licence office with a fax from dvla stating the groups that i had passed test for.Told to take it to main police station and show to chief constable the the document,he kept it for a week and replied,You must take test! Bike was registered to me and taxed insured etc.

Kav Are you currently in Cyprus? If not, when you come over the best way to do it is to go to one of the driving schools - ull see a few by the police station in girne. They will be able to advise you on what you need to do.

kavenkoy As far as I know you can ride a bike here with a UK license as long as you are NOT resident (ie you are simply tourist). I have riden bikes of all sizes here for several years and have always produced my UK license if requested- no probs. I also beleive you can ride a bike upto 100cc on a full UK car license. Hope this helps (a bit). PS I have 100cc 2-stroke (99cc twist and go) scooters for sale. Excellent quality, great prices!!!!!

I don't think all the kids around upper Lapta area have probably even heard of licenses, and I mean kids. As young as 13 or 14 ae all riding around on them, and nobody seems to take any notice.
