Can I just say that this afternoon get together at Guido's was great so many friends turned up it was lovely to see the lovely happy faces again, this is becoming so popular with lovely food supplied by Guido and our Host Liz.

And a big THANK YOU to Mike and Verona for their Donation to the SOS CHILDREN fun day out to the beach, the fund asked for any towels or maybe 5ytl towards a bucket and spade for the children.

Well Mike and Verona not only went and filled their boot of their car up with Buckets and spades/Lilo's/rubber rings/rubber balls etc out of their Own Pocket my heart went out to such generosity it overwhelmed me, thank you so much Mike and Verona, great to see you both and god bless to you both.

Jeanne you wont believe what they bought, the place was filled with all sorts of beach stuff for the little ones, they will have a wonderful time and they will be overwhelmed like I was, some people have the kindest heats, and I count myself lucky to say they are friends of mine.

I drove past at about 2pm and saw everyone sitting outside. Glad you had a great time and sorry I couldn't make it again. I was hedging my bets but have family arriving this evening so just wasn't possible.

Mike and Verona you will make some very unfortunate kids very happy indeed. Well done to you both.

Sheila,

It was good of you to organise the event and also Lilli and Guido to provide the venue, my wife Vinera and I really enjoyed meeting so many people off the BB.

It really was our pleasure to provide the beach toys etc for the kids and will not be the last time we contribute to such a worthy cause.

Let's hope that these events get to be a regular thing and that we can be consistant in our efforts to help the children.

Hi Mike and Vinera

It was my pleasure, I hope you are both going to join us at our next get together, and many thanks again for what you have done for the little ones.

Sheila,

thankyou for starting this post,

I was hoping to return home, tell the rest of the committee what happened today, then start a thankyou post of my own, but as I'm sure you all know, in TRNC you never know what the day will bring.

The generosity of you people never seases to amaze me, a huge thankyou to you all.

I apologise for just leaving without talking to you Sheila, but I had the biggest lump in my throat, and couldn't

hide my tears, (I really don't do crying)

Thankyou again so much, all of you, without your help I really don't know what we'd do,

Mike and Venera, you said you were donating the beach toys etc. on behalf of cyprus44, you really are Saints,xx

Hi Liz and Shiela,

Likewise sorry that Steve and I had to return to the UK on Friday morning, otherwise we would have loved to join the gathering! However we did have a really nice meal at Guido's when we were over not to mention the lovely home made bread, washed down with the cold beers on our lunchtime visits.

Looking forward to our return trip in July - kind regards Irene and Steve

Hi Shiela,

Steve really enjoyed his steak - even though he was told off for having it well done with no sauce by James! However Steve said it was very nice. I had the tuna like fish from Australia (can't remember if it was called maca maca) but it was also really delicious.

Best wishes

Irene and Steve
