hi,

for some weeks there has been a golden retriever type dog in quarantine.

they have been trying to contact the owners but can't seem to reach them on the number they have been given.

it hasn't had any visits in at least 3 weeks.

the only clue we have is ,these owners may be in ozankoy?

does anyone know these people just arrived with this dog, who is at present in quarantine?

or possibly did the owners send the dog out here first and are following on after?

if so please ask them to get in contact with dr mehmet at quarantine.

or contact me at ; sharpeisara@hotmail.com

Oh no, that's awful. I hope someone is feeding it? I thought owners were supposed to look after their own animals??

HI FS thats so sad is anybody feeding and watering it. Perhaps they did send the dog first assuming it would be taken care of. I hope someone see this and knows the owners. Has it been there that long as maybe owners are from turkey and couldnt get visa . There was a beautiful husky when my dog was in quartine who had been there months turned out his owner was in prison. We tried to adopt her but thier hands wete tied as permission couldnt be got whilst he was in prison. Sad

Oh my god, thats so so sad. Poor wee thing must think he has been forgotton about, bless him. I presume the staff there will be feeding him as they are bound to know that no one has been for a while but whether they do it regularly or when they remember, i dont know.

I half hope the owners aren't in Cyprus as that will be awful display of care on their part, though at the same time, if they are here they can collect him asap. I dont know about sending him first and and for them to come after, who would do that? Surely you would bring your pet over at the same time, safe in the knowledge that you are in the same country as him and can go visit?

I do hope someone comes to claim the poor dog soon. And with a reasonable explaination.

FS they must have the paperwork at the centre. They dog would have been due for release. What would happen if he is just left there and fees are not paid. Will they put the dog down. Its just to sad to think about. I just cant imagine that anyone would send thier pets over and not check out what will happen to them x

If i lived in Lefkosa i would go myself and make sure. But living in Kyrenia and not being able to drive, i cant. Does anyone live close to the quarantine place? After seeing the place, i doubt they really care who feeds the animals, so long as they dont have to do it. Luckily Lilli, part of the cage they are in, is undercover, but of course its still going to very hot. And if he has come from UK, he certainly wont be used to that heat. But im pretty sure no one will be walking him. Think thats down to the owners.

Let us know firestarter if you get hold of the owners

don't panic, they are feeding ,watering and walking it.

its a lovely dog, the concern is they can't get hold of the owners.

i have to go in there on monday so i shall see whats happening then.

i have considered something may have happened to the owners? as this is a lovely well cared for dog.

not the sort of dog you would leave behind!

but it is ready to go home, if collection or lack of transport is the problem i can help them.

i am just hoping someone here knows them?
