My Dad fought in that war (signed up at 16 boy soldier) Those men had some stories

and they were real men. I feel lucky to have known a wee bit of history.

Hiya Phyl how are you. I watched the D day celebrations today and to see the remaining veterans made me cry. I will never forget the bravery of the boy soldiers. I feel proud also to know my dad was there . He never spoke about it as he died young but mum god rest her soul told me loads. One day I will go and pay my respects. he had many brothers and to this day I dont know how the hell irish young men were there but my mum told me they were paid to go. sadly they died there. I respect each any everyone who lost thier lives and each veteran who live to tell us the story. I will never forget and I will get there but i will make sure my kids and grandkids never ever forget because they had a hero on thierd fathers side. So we will keep it real xxxxx
