I haven't been a member very long, but since joining, I cannot seem to put this computer down. Everytime I go to it, I have to log on to the forum, it's getting very addictive! Does anyone else have this problem??

It's a sad state of affairs CC...but due to being incapacitated for some time now...i am also a bit of a 44 addict...hopefully when i return to NC (in 10 days) life will restart and i will get myself off this blooming thing!!

Yes it's very addictive, both my wife and I have to log in and check out whats new every day. Then spend several hours joining in or posting our queries, which are usually answered by some very nice people who know whats what.

I have no issue other than when Cyprus 44 had a few hundred members, my unqualified input was welcomed.



As soon as you became a moderator, I sufferred ban after bad. No problem! Why then did moderator after moderator

very addictive for some as they reply to every topic some not even answering the topics question they just want to see there names on the board a lot sit at home in the u k putting there 3 pennerth in a lot just want to slag people off which i have had the experience of to me when that happens it must have hit a nerve with that person i have had a lot of good info off this board and a lot of help personally but i would not reply to some of the gossip or slag bars or restaurants off like some we are in someone elses country lets try to intergrate not dictate things in this lovely place and lets not try to introduce a little brittain with darts, coffee mornings,pool and the dreaded kareoke with the same sad people singing the same sad songs and lets just all chill and help not hinder

Well said bogeyman! That's the problem with the Brits, they want to turn everywhere they go into a little Britain with all the fish and chips shops, karaoke bars, bingo etc.... People need to integrate more and not stay in their little 'British clusters'. It's little wonder the Brits get a bad name sometimes. I say that with respect to everyone though

No, not everyone Simbas, but I'm sure you know what I mean? You only have to look at other countries, Spain & Portugal are two good examples! We Brits forget the reason we chose to live in these countries in the first place, beautifiul countryside, little white-washed houses in lovely little fishing villages etc, ocean views, sunny & warm climate etc.etc. What do we do? We buy a place, work/retire here and then open up exactly the types of resaurants & bars I described above....just so we feel at home...like in Britain....sigh! It's not just the Brits though, the Germans, Dutch are just the same. We're never happy unless we can recreate a mini Britain/Germany/Holland wherever we go
