Went on the African Queen yesteday and even though we didn't have the best weather conditons - it was great!

The staff were friendly, the food was lovely and bar prices were good. It was a brilliant day!

Would definately recommend it!

Totally agree, we have been on the trip twice now and found great both times, the owner tends to travel on the boat and he is very welcoming and friendly.

Food is good, simple but really nice - they buy all the fresh salad's from Lemar just before we set sail and the chips, chicken goujons and breaded fish is lovely and cooked on board.

Well worth the money for a nice relaxing day.

We are looking for a little less relaxing and a little more adventure...... Can anyone suggest a boat trip that incorporates a fishing.

Guys,

Like the sound of this.

What does it cost ? Do you get a sunbed ? Do you anchor & jump in for a swim ? How long does it last ?

Any info like that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Morty

Hey there Monty,

You can get either a Sun Bed, a soft padded seat on the side of the boat or indeed a chair at the table under cover of Shade - you have a choice.

Cost - Usually £20 per Adult and Half Price for Kids.

They drop anchor 2 or 3 times and YES you can jump in, go out on their Jet Ski (thats extra though) they have woggles, life jackets etc...

Hope that helps ...............

Can any one help me out with my question about more adventureous Boat Trips - African Queen is perfect for a relaxing day but we are after some Fishing etc...

msg4 - - - - Morty African Queen is largest Gulet in harbour and i believe the only one with upper sundeck,of course fully equipped with sun loungers ,usually three, possibly four stops for swimming ,Genghis has a jet-ski for hire and you can swim to beaches easily for banana boats/pedaloes etc. Day trips depart at 10,returning around 4-30,lunch is included in price,£20 for adults i think ,also fruit platters mid afternoon,an amazing trip and amazing value.

African Queen also does an evening Curry cruise, great food and you watch the sunset from the sea - - - - Awesome

The African Queen has its own web site with full details - see

http://www.sailcyprus.com/site/www.sailcyprus.com.html

This gives the cost of the day trip as £25 adult, £10 children 6-12 and under 6 go free.

Cheers,

Ralph

It is £20 and half price for children, I have just checked this with gengis, I think a mistake may have been made when doing the web site. The fantastic curry nights are also £20.
