Hi cronos,

These locks are fitted at the bottom or top of the window and prevents the window sliding, even if the window is closed and unlocked.

Patio doors cannot be lifted out of there frames unless they have wind wedges at the bottom of the sliding window. If yours does, then the wedges need to be fitted instead of a lock.
