Hi Guys, I'm purchasing C2, CBP. Has anyone received notification of the above costs? I received a PDF file from Nurten which details connection cost @ £2,500. I think this is way too expensive but I am new to it all. Any comments someone, anyone!?

Hi Pipie

Thanks for the response. Contract only states that one has to pay "their share" of the connection fees but does not state how much this will be.

I just want to know whether everyone else at CBP has received the same email and if so, comments please!

It it says that you have to contribute , simply get the full receipt check it , confirm it with Kibtek then divide it amongst owners .

We are purchasing in crystal bay park c3 .

We received the same pdf and i replied to Nurten stating that we thought it was too high as previous costs were about £1500. that was on the 5th, still no reply. sent another today if no reply i will try phoning her.

Also trying to get handover date as we are going out on 17th July. again silence from the distant end.

Any info I receive I will put on the forum.

Welcome to the Evergreen 'service experience'....expect nothing but costs!

I have stopped worrying, they are arrogant & totally lacking in any form of customer service...

Hi all CB Parkers

We have asked for breakdown of costs, but still have not recieved reply from Nurten.

I think nobody on CBP should pay until we get a breakdown of all costs associated with the services bill of £2500. Can't believe it can cost that much!

Hi again, Pipie!

Thanks for that! Was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were about this £2.5K. Now that I can see that I am not alone, I shall await further info via this forum before shelving out!

If CBP is finished by the first week in July, they must be getting rid of the builders and bringing a team of magicians in.

clayton, they are doing the paths to the rear of the blocks at the moment. Libby who i believe you know will be back in the uk tomorrow, i am taking them to the airport. She will be able to tell you where the site is up to. I bought off Evergreen on another site and it really gets to me that they are still telling owners that their apartments are ready, or nearly ready, why the hell they dont tell the truth is really beyond me!!!!

Other points you asked about,

1, no landscaping done yet, they are still putting in the drainage system.

2, No roads in yet, they cant do that until the drains are finished.

Hi there, Geoff, apologies for butting in! I'm in C2.

Nurten's delivery letter invited CBP owners to carry out their snagging during the month of July and she had previously told me that snagging would take up to one month. If this is correct, handover should take place in August but we shall just have to wait and see.

Chrystal, Yes i would agree that the site should be ( or could be ) finished by August, so why would Nurten say that handover will be first week in July? re message 12.

I think that one of the things that really upsets buyers, is to be told what Evergreen think you want to hear rather than what is the actual situation. The sooner they realise this and stop telling people what they think you want to hear the better.

Do they not appreciate that owners, take what they say as good information, and then book flights and accomodation to come over and take possesion of their homes. Only to find that the sites are not finished and then are fobbed off with ' well its not our fault, the government/council/electric co/ are to blame ' They know when the site is finished so why tell people the place is finished when its not?

Rant over Geoff.

Hi Geoff, I hear you. Think that Evergreens just want to be on the right side of our money! Anyway, Nurten hasn't responded to any of my emails but it would seem she has been in touch with dajoten. Would be nice if she advised the rest of us, too though! Did you receive her email advising check/handover date of 21 July?

Chrystalake, I am not on CBP so i would not get e mails of details for the site.

Libby and Les who are friends of mine are buying on CBP and i have followed their struggle with incorrect information from Evergreen. In my own case, i was told that my place was ready to move into last year so as i was relocating to TRNC i made arrangements to move in as advised, only to find when i got here, that the bathroom was still being tiled, the kitchen units were still being fitted and the place had not had final painting.Which meant i had to stay in a hotel for three weeks waiting to move in. My point is that if Evergreen had given me correct information i would have delayed my arrival for the three weeks. Its not rocket science is it?

I have no problem with the build quality of the units, and now look back and laugh, but at the time it drove me up the wall, and its still happening.

Hope you all enjoy the complex when you finally move in and enjoy Cyprus life as i do.

Thanks for the clarification, Geoff. Must be great to have all the frustrations now well behind you although I naturally empathise with Libby and Les. If its not a cheeky question, how much did you pay for the connection of the EWS? Did Evergreens install electric and water meter or was that something you had to do yourself? But I hear you on the incorrect information from Evergreens. They probably do this so they can request all the monies sooner rather than later! Anyway, I am availaing myself of your personal experience have put off visiting Cyprus until end September when hopefully Evergreens will have everything completed. Heh, and that goes without saying - I am sure I will absolutely love living in Cyprus and have even bought my first Teach Yourself Turkish course!

Hello John and Mags. Nice to meet you! I'm in C2.

I would not mind learning more about the rental proposals but my first thought is that any breakages would the responsibility of yours truly, unless of course the contracts were drawn to cover these contingencies. And of course, I personally would not like any form of drug use in my apartment so wonder how such things will be monitored and prevented.

The site will most certainly be lovely when done but all the planting etc is being done instead of the advertised gated community. In am just wondering how secure the site will be when owners are not there and the apartments are not rented out.

Looking forward to meeting you, too!

I spoke to Nurten last week ( called her at the Evergreen office in Girne) as we a ebooked to go out on 17th July.

She then emailed me with the info about my handover. I suggest if you have problems contacting her you try phoning the office tel- 00903928160321

Msg 5 says someone has paid for water connection. Did they get any idea of when this would be before they paid/

Where abouts are they? We are on Crystal Bay Breeze and suggestions of water connection vary from next century to next millenium!

I have just e-mailed Nurten for the 3rd time re a breakdown of the EWS cost of £2500. Seems very reluctant to supply this info.

I have asked an independant property consultant to visit the CBP site to let me know the present situation re the "completion of all communal roads, access ways, pathways, infrastructure, the recreational area and supply of electricity and water" which according to our contract should be completed prior to the final payment is handed over.

Will post reply when we get one.

hope we get some good feedback.i know they are not going to finish the perimeter wall, because it will be to expensive.they are going to be using chicken wire.if they hadnt used so much stone on the block thats not being finished they might have had enough.seems a shame really the site was taking shape nicely.

good luck gary,elaine

Hi all CBP,s

Recieved a general report from our property developer friend and he says the apartment blocks appear to be completed, (which most of us already knew) although he could not get access for internal inspection. More to the point he says the communal areas such as the roads have no tarmac, no paving or parking areas completed, no water in the pool, loads of builders rubbish lying about, but at least there were a couple of builders on site.

In general he said the communal areas were a "mile off"

He recommends that we do not pay any service charges until they are completed.

Still no reply from Evergreen on any of the questions asked.

Does anybody out there know what the breakdown of £2500 for EWS is made up of?

Hi Joall,

Just came back from CBP. Snagging seems to be taking a very long time but just to let you know (it might already be old news by now) that the roads leading to the apartments are accessible, parking is in place, the swimming pool has just been filled, there is water coming into the apartments and one just needs to lodge their details with Kibteck to have their electricity connected which I am reliably informed costs about TL 480.00.

Hi Chris and Joan

We have not paid the £2,500 utility connection yet as we think it is extortionate and wondered if you or anyone else on the site has paid the full amount.

Hi Janmik & Chrystal

We had a great time and weather was excellent. We stayed at a friends apartment on CB Marina until we took possession of ours. Snagging took a couple days to complete then keys were handed over. Needed a final clean before the furniture was delivered. unfortunately Kibtek did not fit the meter until the day before we came home,(took 8 days) so did not manage to stay in ours at all.

Site is looking really good now that the landscaping is nearly complete. Looking forward to our next visit.

We paid the £2500 with our final payment, as there does not seem to be any choice if you want possession.

JOYA restaraunt on CB Marina is excellent for food and value for money

Hi all,

we are just back from CBP where we managed to stay in our apt for the full week.A few problems with water but quickly sorted. The workmen are very helpful and will loan tools if you need them.

We had the complex to ourselves. We will never see it like that again. The weather was glorious so no complaints.

We also paid the full requested amount like Chris and Joan.

The whole development looks great and I hope we can all enjoy it for years to come (although I think the stress of it all has added on 10 years to me)

We paid Kibtek 265 ytl + £70 sterling. One is for installation and one is for a deposit, returnable if u sell the property.

Use right side doors of Kibtek, take a ticket from the machine and the counter on the right has an electronic number machine above it.

Take a copy of your c0ntract, passport and copy passport and money.

Joya restaraunt serves excellent steaks, chicken etc and we paid approx 100 ytl for 2 people which included starters, wine & beer

our electric was already on when we got there so we just moved in after seeing Nurten in the morning for handover. We went to Kibtec a few days later to change the supply into our name.

Hi Chris,

Did you pay ytl 265 recently? I was told ytl 480 so it may have gone up. Will definitely ensure that I have sterling also or can this be paid in ytl? Thanks a lot!

We paid about 270ytl in July. If in doubt ask Nurten as she informed us of the cost. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get it changed to our name after seeing about 3 different people at 3 different desks.

good luck.
