I was called last night to see a 2years old toddler who had drank Acetone. Mum turned her back for 2 seconds it is easily done. And now that a lot of people will be having grandchildren, nieces, nephews to stay in the holidays thought I would share this with you.

Do NOT try to induce vomiting

Do Not give them water

Instead give them milk and yoghurt, this will neutralize the acid and cool any burning. Then take them to nearest hospital to be checked out. This works for bleach as well.

The hospital I worked in in the UK would have given activated charcoal but after some research milk and yoghurt works same.

And the little girl is fine this morning going back to UK today so mum will get her checked out there as well

Also I phoned Girne hospital ahead and they had a paediatrician standing by so Thank you and Well done.



KEEP HARMFUL SUBSTANCES IN A LOCKED CUPBOARD IF POSSIBLE IF SMALL CHILDREN IN THE HOUSE.
