Still a long way to go, but it's inevitable: younger board members will see "The United States of Europe" develop. We can talk about silly parties like BNP in the UK, PVV in Holland and what have you elsewhere - there's no space anymore for selfish parties or countries in this global world. *All* the problems in current Europe (EU) can only be overcome in a United Europe. And it all happened before! But the (EU) problem now is that history teaches us that very few will learn the lessons from history. People have always looked for a better living elsewhere - no country in history succeeded in stopping them. Maybe we'd all better realise that. Integration is the only answer. The time for Empires and BNP's is over.

Hi DC, re msg 1 That's precisely the type of speech that get's UKIP votes ;) ! BTW UKIP's leader keeps telling us that 75% of laws come from the EU - it's not true.. *I* hope the UK does exercise it's rights to refuse to accept some EU decisions - especially re business regulations - which is why many Entrepreneurs from France / Germany LIKE to set up businesses here.

Yes, Nige and Goebbels foretold the world of the Soviets plan for Europe - when it was obvious he was going to be on the losing side.. .. he was scaremongering, and deflecting , too !

RE msg 2, 6xm > telling us that 75% of laws come from the EU - it's not true.. < => 50-60-70-80% - not important anymore. The center of power in the EU is the European Commission, the EP, etc. (*) There only will be prolonged peace and prosperity in an United Europe. In all member states some people can mumble on about specific rights and regulations - we all walk on the path to this United Europe. It's far too late to leave this path or try to walk back. (*) Ask the unfortunate Orams.

Harlequin re msg 7 >>>Does that mean that we will be depending on the Dutch Army to defend us?<<< Hmm, you ARE aware of the situation in Bosnia at the time of the Srebrenica massacre and the RoE ( rules of Engagement ) ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srebrenica_massacre Even if DC "gets on your wick".. hardly fair.. to blame the Dutch for the criminal actions of Bosnian Serbs...
