I made a perfectly fair post stating that I am not a thief a mug or a moral delinquent for buying property in the TRNC. That the Greek Cypriot government told the world that they would vote yes for the Annan plan. The Annan plan would have sorted out the property problem – THEY LIED. Am I to be vilified for their lack of morality? And I get dumped on? Troodo. Incidentally, where were most of you at 9.30 this morning?

How did you get dumped on? I think that you were asked about the specifics of your purchase. Have you answered? The Annan plan was not designed to solve property problems for you, it was meant to solve a political problem between TCs and gcs. Maybe had it not been for the solution to the problem of foreign buyers, the Annan plan might've got up.

Having just read the Genocide Files, I cannot understand why the TC's and the Turks do not demand that the Greeks and GC's fall to their knees and beg forgiveness from the TC's. I know that this book is biased and one sided but there is a modicum of truth here. Also I cannot understand why the ROC can be legitamate. Surely the constitution has not been changed since 1974? If it has not, and it needed the TC's to agree to a change, then the ROC is an illegal government also. Or am I missing something?

Mr Vince Msg 8, I think we are all missing something, it doesn't make any sense what so ever that Turkey who came to stop the genocide are deemed to be the ones to blame, if the UK or America had done the same thing they would be seen as hero's, there is definitely something strange going on there, the only thing I can think of is that the USA and UK want to use Cyprus as a listening post / platform, for any operations in the Gulf, a bit like why the UK will not give up Gibraltar, it's too much of a strategic Gem, and maybe the USA and UK etc think they will get more of their own way if the Greek Cypriots are in control of the Island, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why the USA want Turkey in the EU though does it.

ozzie TC "Maybe had it not been for the solution to the problem of foreign buyers, the Annan plan might've got up." Nonsense, pre 2003, what foreign buyers? How many?.In and around the area I stay in I dont no anyone who had bought before the Annan plan. You lot have just got to blame everyone else 100%, Can you not accept that just a little bit of blame lies with your side as well? By the way, could Cypwyn,Ilovekibris, and yourself stop the mutual admiration society,Its not necessary as soon as one of you posts for the other to instantly and constantly post" Well said". Its becoming harder to follow the threads as they get so large.

If the GC's were so desperate to become part of Greece then why don't they just bugger off now and join them and leave us here alone? I have no doubt that union with Greece will raise its ugly head once there is a peace deal and TRNC becomes an independant state internationally recognised. The GC's are so terrified of the Turkish intervention, but nowhere has Turkey said that TRNC was part of Turkey; the TC's have no desire to become part of Turkey The illegal corrupt government of ROC should just shut up and leave the civilised part of the island in peace.

Mr Vince like you I have just read "The Genocide Files" & "Death of Friendship" and yes perhaps a little bias there but so what. If the writings are true (of which I believe they are) then there should be some large scale arrests for war crimes and the world should be told so they can make a judgement for themselves. I believe the British govenment are as guilty as hell for standing by and watching it happen. Disgraceful

I have continually stated on other threads that two illegal states can never make a whole one: not under international law. But it would seem international law is thrown aside when it comes to the TRNC, or even Turkey for that matter. Troodo.

I bought in 2003. Don't know if it's greek land, Turkish land or whoever is supposed to own it. Hans will most likely know. I couldn't care less who's land I'm on. By the time it's sorted out I won't be ON it so much as UNDER it. I suppose that goes for anyone beyond their teens, Stop worrying, start living. If the BNP take over, the only only thing to worry about is, will there be enough rope. ps Have you heard about poor old Maggie, fell and broke her arm. To me, an ex coal miner who doesn't bear a grudge, the greatest Brit. living today. Hope she get's well soon.
