The place - Guido's, Alsanjack.



Those present - Me, my miserable Missus (don't ask), Garry Monger, Garry Monger's Missus..



Date - 9/6/09 - time 3.15pm...



so we extended the car insurance (my policy only covers you if the word "koy" appears in the address), filled up the car and off we set......



We'd heard some good reveiws and Lilli's eternal optimism emblazed over the pages of Cyprus 44 is an absolute joy...



Imagine our disapointment when we pulled up to see the "CLOSED" sign.....



The look on Garry Monger's missus face of sheer shock horror - miles from home and no tucker - my immediate fear was that she'd try and eat the car's rear head rest, but luckily she found an old bag of liquirish allsorts stuffed down the back of the seat...



She mithered me to death to stop for a kebab (or three) on the way back to Esentepe...



Anyway we were all a bit sad, as we were all really looking forward to some top tucker....





One question Lilli / Guido - when are you open ?

oH Nick Im so very sorry. I wish you had called me and I would have opened just for the famous 4. The red carpet would have been out and if I had to take the door away to accomodate Mrs M I would. Sweetheart we close tuesdays to restock. Also Guido was doing the kids masterclass cookery course at the school. Im so sorry you ha a wasted journey.I will make it up to you I promise xxxxx

No hard feelings - The look on Garry Monger's Missus's face was a treat when she clocked the "CLOSED" sign.....



We were going to do "mystery shopper" - but Garry Monger's Missus looks like what you expect her to look like, plus she eats more food than a small county....



Anyway, we will book next time - probably later on in the week...



i'm sure our visit will bring a smile to your face....

Hi liucine we close at this moment sunday evenings as we are still doing sunday lunch. This will change after this week. Im so very sorry you had a wasted journey thats why we put the telephone number on the sign as we have been known to come back if people ring. If we do not have reservations its so difficut to guage. Nick my lovely we take tuesdays off but more often than not we get calls. Today we have done a masterclass course for the kids at sunny lane. We try to stock up tuesdays. Laundry etc . Bus mans holiday . Im just so very sorry I missed you xxxxx

Nick ! dont worry mate it worked ! when you filled up the car they called Guido and told him you were on your way ! he then came out into the restaurant and told us lunch would be served "under the table" thinking that this was some wonderful italian experience Mrs Snakes was straight down there only to find the lights out and doors locked think she still there now ! oh well another night of abuse on the forum eh Liz xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx where's me misses ??????????????

Hi all just to confirm the opening hours. Bistro/Deli open everyday except tues from 10.30 until 3pm. Dinner from 6.30pm till late. Sunday lunch from 1pm.Dont forget the caribbean evening this friday night from 7.30pm xx

My Sister and I went to Guido,s Carribean Night last night is was a fabulous evening plenty of Rum punch and the food was to die for and great host what more does anyone want
