Not id that is the quality of news that is representitive.. 1/ re the "protest" at the BHC... WHAT FOR? The ECJ ruled .. not the court of England and Wales 2/ re the Turks in Greece - if they are oppressed that can go to the ECHR.. How many Greeks are left in Istanbul and how many Turks are left on Rhodes or Crete? At least they have been "allowed " to remain.. *International Law Principles* .. my goodness - if I was Mr Talat, I'd be careful about throwing stones in the glasshouse.. unless he's suddenly announced GCs can come back and take up residence in their homes.. !

The Republic of Cyprus should leave two of its seats in the European Parliament free. Huseyin Ozgurgun, foreign minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is recognized only by Ankara, says they belong to the Turkish Cypriots, ikypros informs, citing the northern Cypriot press. He says that the Greek Cypriots in the European Parliament do not represent Turkish Cypriots and do not have the right to solve or approve resolutions on issues concerning the Turkish community. | You can't be in the club if you play by your own rules. So they should stop moaning and grow up. Nobody's interested. |

Kibris. Then the two seats should remain vacant. As for your other remarks, they just show you up for what you are. Troodo.

Perhaps Pike and Juliet have taken the seats, well they certainly seem to take a lot of interest in what is going on in TRNC.

Dear Troodo re msg 9 You seem to be misinformed: >>As the TRNC is suspend from the E.U. how come the seats aren’t? << The "TRNC" is not recognised as a legal entity - it is "legally invalid" The "correct" term is officially the "area of Cyprus beyond the effective control of the govt." Dear Hattkins re msg 10 >>they certainly seem to take a lot of interest in what is going on in TRNC.<< I'm sure if "Pikey " was able to stand and elected he would work hard to see off corruption in Cyprus politics. One of the first things would be to see folk retaining the right of freedom of speech ;) As for Juliet.. if your family had something taken from them - by military intervention - and the UN had asked the forces to leave - esp as they both had mandated the UN to be peacekeepers - whilst arming both ethnicities.. you WOULD have an interest..
