Why oh why couldn't my dad keep it in his pants or even my mother keep her legs closed for another 6 weeks or so, then I could have been born in '67.

Seventh win in the poule for the Orange-team: Nederland-Noorwegen: 2-0 (Hmmm. What a poor result! Norway only scored 2 goals in 5 matches!! "We" should have won with... I'm not satisfied. But, oh, well, "we" qualified...).

I just hear on Dutch radio (though a bit vague...): England-Andorra 11-0. Right. Andorra is always a very dangerous opponent...

What would happen if TRNC became a micro state!!!

We would all have a second international football team to support, which we could get tickets for...., but are the stadia in trnc up to scratch??

just a thought...

How sad. All 11 football players in the great republic of Andorra (nr. 12 stopped playing - 60 years of age) are defeated in England. Well done, my English friends...

It is a result that opens a 10 point lead for England in group 6......

Well done to the Dutch team for another win too....

RE msg 18, blinky > You've got Barney the famous world darts player!!!! <

=> So what? We also have the Dutch cricket team (they won with some wickets, or runs or whatever - no idea - from cricket nation England). And we have the ladies World Champion darts (who the h**l is that?). Anyway. And we have the World Champions speed skating. And judo. And "we" won Wimbledon a couple of years ago. And Roland Garros in Paris. And... J**** C***** what a great nation *we* are! Errm..., Why did I leave this superb country...?)

..and how did England get on when they played Andorra's southern neighbour in a friendly ?

Just like Man U - "we've" got to learn how to handle a REALLY decent team with a truly great midfield..

Too early to get excited... methinks.

Bladerunner, even though I am scottish and was born with a natural resentment for all things english (joking), I hope you win something soon too!

I have memories of all my life of every time England nearly win something the subject of '66 comes up.

I got on a 4 person gondola whilst skiing in the 3 valleys for a 15 minute ride up the mountain and believe it or not the guy who got on with me starting reminising about the '66 world cup, OK you won but come on, Skiing in France and you start a conversation about a football competition 40 years in the past and worst of all to a scotsman.

He did seem a little upset when I pointed out that the first team they played after winning the world cup was Scotland and they lost, but thats life.

And before anyone starts, I know we have never won it but then we never do !!!

He's just jealous that Holland didn't get to play them!

Are we leading in our group now!

Do we have more points than Holland? LOL
