I understand we can now pay our Ozankoy water bills via Creditwest, who already pay our electricity bills for us.....however I have been told that some people have had problems with this, ie paid too much and had to wait for ages for it to be resolved? Does anyone have any comments on this please? We are still working in UK so will only be able to visit a few times each year and we are trying to get as organised as possible to pay bills etc. Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you

I've used Creditwest to pay my water bills to Catalkoy Belediye for the last 3/4 months. No problems at all. I'm certain Ozankoy water bills are now levied by Girne Belidiye & all the previous Muhtar bills like street lighting & rubbish collection are also billed by Girne (same system as Catalkoy). Not sure though whether the bills are monthly as in Catalkoy or bi-monthly. Girne Belediye have been able to accept payments through the bank for much longer than the smaller municipalities.

Thanks Scruff (once again, as youve answered my query on another post) I think we'll just set up with Creditwest to pay the water bills, they seem to be very efficient. We had a problem at the Muhtars office whereby we paid in advance for our water bills, were told it had been "inputted onto the computer system" but stupidly didnt get a receipt and now the office has denied ever getting the money from us....a valuable lesson!!
