can anyone tell me what the exchange rate is at the moment have just seen offer in local travel shop 2.40ytl this seems quite a good rate only got 2.23 when over at the end of january

We have just got back - my bank converted at 2.39, one of the currency exchange places in Girne was offering 2.43 for sterling.

See TRNC site , Dutch Crusader shows Lira going down , check on one of the currency conversion sites, todays exchange rate shows 2.51 to £

Yep, the £ is getting stronger to the Lira. I would change it over here I got 2.55 in Sun exchange yesterday aftyernoon!

The Exchange places in Girne all give a very similar rate of exchange, it really is not worth walking miles to find one that gives you a fraction better rate
