Could anyone let me know if they have used this company in the North for car hire, there rates seem to be fair and they also pick up from Larnaca.

Yes I have used aone, and they are excellent, especially as you say they only charge £10 each way for Larnaca transfers.

used aone last year couldnt fault them, paid for a small car and ended up with a top people carrier for the same price.



i also meet the guy who runs the company he was pleasent and couldnt do enough for us.

I've been using A one for over 1 year now - Ismail is lovely, very helpful, gives a good discount for long term hire and has never let me down with airport pick ups. The cars are always valeted and if you have any problems they sort them out quickly! (the clutch went on one I had & he replaced it immediately).

I use a-one everytime. I have no problems recommending them to anyone. I have just booked them again for my father and I will use them again should I go out in October. they do a pickup from larnaca and as long as you hire a car from them for a week, they will do a pickup and return for £40 to/from larnaca.



My contact there is a gem of a guy called Ismail.

I would also recommend http://www.birdrentacar.com I`ve been using them for the past 4 years very friendly staff, competitive rates, everything they do for you is a pleasure not a chore.

Used A One last month for 2 week hire, worked out under £17/day incl CDW. Excellent car. Nearly £100 cheaper than with another recommended Co last year.



Maybe we got 'Local Prices' as we booked through Alex Morgan from Abbey Estates (she's gorgeous and fluent Turkish!), who shares her office building with A One on the Bellapais Rd, opposite the Altinkaya Hotel.

Thanks very much to all of you that replied to help me, I have just booked with them now.

I am very impessed with the prices to and from Larnaca and all the good feedback from the forum members.

I must also say that Ismail does respond straight away as well, so hopefully I can recommend them when I get back from my holiday.

we used them for a week, 2 wks ago,larnaca pickup 40 quid each way,car hire 20 quid a day with 2 named drivers,cant speak highly enough of ismail,lovely chap.

I have just read with interest your comments on aone car hire. As I have decided to change my usual car hire company I was interested when I read in message 4 that they only charge £10.00 return from Larnaca airport, then in message 10 it had gone up to £20 return and in message 16 it had gone up yet again £40.00 each way.

Now I know inflation is rising fast in the TRNC but that is rediculious. Can someone please give me the correct price they charge Larnaca to Esentepe Return. Thank you

Hi I think that price of twenty pounds is only if you rent the car from them as well, it is not just for transfers

I have just enquired as looked at a few places. The prices are unbelievable. There are 7 of us coming out for a week with 4 of us staying a few days longer. Asked for airport pick ups and drop off for Larnaca (needs 2 cars with there being 7 of us and told this is £25 each journey (£100 in total return). For a 7 seater car £30 a day and then £20 for a 4 seater.



Total cost for me is £390. I was going to use firm in South that allows travel to north and was quoted £700!!!!!



To clarify Laranca price it does say on website :



Special Offer £25 each way for up to 4 people.
