| does anyone know if you can sell your house in North Cyprus privately. I did hear that it was law that you go through an estate agent (5-6% - ouch), not sure if this was a romour or if it was true is it true now? Any advice would be helpful! |

| I have had friends sell privately.......but still get it checked, you never know with turkish laws, they seem to change from day to day |

| You can sell privately unless it is over a certain amount. You will need to check the amount but I am sure that it is over £200,000. Your solicitor will be able to confirm the amount. |

| As far as I am aware the necessity of going through an Estate Agent is suspended at the moment as part of the discount package ending on July 8th. After this if the discount is not extended the Kocani would have to be in your name, if it is still in the builder's name you would not be able to sell privately as he is classed as a professional seller. |
