I want to remove old paint and rust from a garden gate. I intend to do it with "A drill (from Dutch: Drillen), which is a tool with a rotating drill bit - Wikipedia". Needed: a (metal) wire brush. The problem: where to buy one? I tried Imap already, but no luck. Did anyone out there (in TRNC) ever see one in a shop? WHERE?

The name of the shop is actually TAYF... Marshalls is merely one of the lines they sell, hence the sign.... which is also prominently displayed on many other yapi Markets in the region...

Hans Try 'Mr Pound' first, your purchase will cost you 4Tl (where did they get their exchange rates from?). You will be surprised what they have for sale. AJ

Save petrol if you are near Lapta call Zini and ask him - if he has not got one he will try to get one in. I would also see if he has some acid to clean up and prepare the surface before painting. 0533 860 2577 or 0392 821 1182 I have just called him and he sems to have the brush in stock. tom

I found all I needed (and more...) at Mr. Pound in Girne. Amazing what they offer there and even more amazing the prices they ask! Thanks again for all the advise.

The spell checker in my (American) web browser accepted both spellings, so I was satisfied. I'm very careful after the way some members ("This is a British Bulletin Board!) punished me for choosing the wrong spelling for apologise (apologize - US English). I still have nightmares... But, you know what, Newscoop? From now on I don't care anymore. And I feel that you'd better give some British board members a couple of lessons regarding the English language (spelling and grammar). How about that, Newscoop, me old sucker?
