A friend of the family was asked to dogsit in a large city in the UK for one of their friends - while the took a weeks holiday...

"unfortunately, the dog is ill and if he takes a turn for the worst - please take him to the vet"..

Sadly, two days later, the dog is dead in the basket - having passed away during the night :(

The kind dog sitter contacts the vet who says " bring the dog to us and we will make arrangements for the dog's body"....

Now the vet is only 3 minutes walk away, but it involves crossing a railway line.... an underpass

The kind dogsitter puts the dog in a large suitcase - the sort with wheels and an extending handle - that she buys from a charity shop - and heads off to the vets...

As she carried the case down the steps to the underpass and kind passer-by offer to help... The lady is glad of the offer..

As they walk along under the railway, the young man - who has struggled valiantly with the weight asks,

(cont) from 1

"wow, that's heavy - what ever's in there?"

The lady, embarrassed to tell the young man what he's just carried says the first thing that comes in her head...

"Oh, I'm moving flats and this is all my computer stuff"..

At the top of the flight of steps, on the other side, the lady is about to thank the young man....

But he runs off with her "computer stuff" ......

Hi BF, I can't mention the name of the city - as it IS a true story ( very recent ) and the lady concerned wants to remain anonymous - she is slightly frightened she might meet the young man who offered his "help"...

at least she didn't have to worry about disposing of the dog's remains - all taken care of by the unwitting dog snatcher!
