newlad i dont know where you have got your infomation, but brt1 has been transmitting for years aswell as avrasya tv and recently kibris genc tv on turksat, and tim its not only on digiturk which is on the eutelsat satellite its also on the turksat satellite which covers the whole of europe including the u.k and middle east which you can receive on a 90cm dish and in a sense newlad is right if you have a big enough dish you can receive this mostly anywhere in the world apart from the u.s and austaralia

When i went to school world wide actually meant all over the world.And the article does actually say "brt is set to broadcast worlwide"

then famagusta gazette are bit slow lol, because i have been watching brt1 for a long time and because its on turksat it is sort of worldwide as long as you got a big enuf dish, maybe it means it will be going onto other satellites to serve the u.s and australia etc
