Surely Danktas' name should be enough to steer you away from this book?

Although very much out numbered, it must have taken some balls to stand up to the Greek Cypriot Fighters.

It must have been such an irritation to come up against any such resistance.

Perhaps the Enosis process would have been achieved and Cyprus to this day would be a fully inhabited EU state run extensional island from far away Greece and without its current hindrances.

Whats the problem ILK and Lost Geezer with some one wanting to ask about reading this book? with all your so called 'edicaton', why do you keep picking on forum members that ask a simple question, that, you then be-little their readings or their comments straight away! Just think that you always like to show how 'clever' you are, or want us to think you are!!

RE msg 2, ilovekibris > Surely Danktas' name should be enough to steer you away from this book? <

=> There must be better words in English than the one I use for you: miserable. You can't stand in Mr. Denktash's shadow. The ex-President of TRNC, one of the founders of the Republic, has more balls than you have - he didn't and doesn't hide behind a keyboard and a nickname. Shame on you for insulting (not the first time) Mr. Rauf Denktash.

Well said dutchcrusader, your English is perhaps better said/wrote than mine, as some of these 'clever dicks' like to discriminate against other members for what ever reason, and this reason being for just wanting to read a book!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering the international community has long considered Denktas one of the biggest obstacles to a settlement in Cyprus - and the Turkish Cypriots themselves rejected him - what's wrong with warning people about a book? Who exactly is being picked on by flagging it up to other members?

And was is "edicaton"? Did you get much of whatever it is?

Most of the citizens of the Cyprus republic can stand in Denktas' shadow. The man's so obese he has his own ozone layer.

Still - at least Turkey had the good sense to force him out of office when the Turkish Cypriots had had enough of him.

How can any book harm you ....

Should such a risk not be flagged up as a EU standard - and a warning posted and the potential risk.

Thats me away to check my library, thanks ilovekiris for raising the point and saving me from something.

Oh out they come, cypwine, ILK, all ready to excel in points over others!! Whats yer problem ILK? You mention what did I mean about 'edicaton' , and did I have any? education is for whoever needs/wants or should have by the grace of God, fortunatly some of us dont nessesarily need it or couldnt have it, to the extent as your good selves, my dear fellows. But manners maketh man,----- who made you? ----an ass? just stop acting like one and perhaps we might take a little notice of what you have to say.

Oh and while we are on the subject of asses, mostly they are quite likable, but some do have a nasty habit of biting and not being sociable, but this is when they have never been taught manners!!!

Orams Case.

Unfortunite individuals being treated, through Cypriot and British Courts without any consideration or compassion. I hope justice prevails.

The years 1955 - 1959. Figures to this day, still not fully disclosed.

The cold war years and the politicians of the day.

Those Men and Woman who lost their lives on an Island called Cyprus.

Who missed the opportunity to be lovers, parents and grandparents.

And still no court case.
