Celebrity marriages hardly ever works. Both sides have inflated egos and hard to please. It is a case of money and fame ruining lives. The same thing happens to those who win the big lotto. Same old story. ismet

I met Peter Andre in the early days of their relationship and even close friends of the family thought they were in it for the money :( You know what..? That was, maybe, five years ago and I thought they had proved folk wrong.... Ismet, "We" make/ keep these couples as celebrities and their marriages are under microscopes.. ( absolutely - as this couple allowed the cameras to follow them) A normal marriage - that might have a "bad" period would never survive such media interest. Imagine if the world knew if your wife and you had had a row and you came home late after deciding to go for a walk in the mountains. Fair play to those in the public eye that DO make a go of their marriages.

well said Hattikins!!! just think of how many good and genuine people there are helping others and putting their needs before their own and they are unsung and never get or even expect anything for their own good works. Add to that the academics, scientists, dare I say it lawyers(oops I'm scared of the reaction) etc who push the boundaries of our knowledge and they never achieve fame. I worry for the young people who believe that people like that nameless piece of work are their role models! m

mixie I just put 'celebrity' as another word for 'famous', unfortunately as you say they are completely talent less also in my opinion yet made rich by fame, however knowing some lawyers & barristers in London there are also 'famous' ones so to speak or should I say well known by others in that industry and there a few academics ie Einstein and scientists that became famous, but the world is so looks obsessed and mostly only the glamorous ones become famous, however some also do good work and use it to their advantage & promote or create charities & charity work etc for example Sir Bob Geldof, Audrey Hepburn, Lady Diana etc etc! I just think it's such a shame the way these celebrity couples in particular (or maybe because we hear about them more) throw away mariages and divorce so easily especially when there are children involved.

well done ilovekibris, spot on. i know she has her knockers on this forum, well in theory but she just leaves me flat. i heard that she takes a puncture repair kit with her when she goes out jogging, just in case she falls over or slips on some silicone, peter was always there to blow her up.

Who cares? Are there not more pressing or vitally important issues for us to be concerned about, for the media to inform us about? This celebrity trash promoted by proft motivated media owners is ruining society. The example set by these disgusting people to our young folk is nothing short of scandalous. No wonder Britain has become a paradigm of social decline.

What makes her feel good?? MEN, and how they leer after her for obvious reasons. She has just lost touch of what is real and what is important. Her family. Peter, he is obviously just a family guy who loved Jordan for what she was and was hoping they would have a complete life without all the fuss and by changing her name would disregard the past, I dont think she wanted that. She thrives on being every mans dream and he thrived on settling down. It was never going to be a success!! Good luck to Peter, at least he has his kids' best interests at heart and I am sure time will tell that he has done the right thing.

Have you never heard of media hype. They tell you what you want to know and hear - that's what sells newspapers and magazines. BOTH Jordan/Katie and Peter have a responsibility in all of this mess. They have marketted and lived their lives in the spotlight and reaped all the rewards that brings but in the journey have produced children who in the long run are the most important people. Yes Mrs Andre appears to be behaving badly -is it all a publicity stunt - who knows. Mr Andre meanwhile appears to be doing everything right - maybe he is cuter than her and but we will have to wait and see. Personlly, I think there are far more important things going on in the world at large at the moment than the Andre Saga which no doubt will have several episodes before the plug is pulled - or will it!! Time will tell.

paradigm = belief system CyprusChill - fine pair? It will never cease to amaze me how any male on this earth is turned on by two plastic footballs sewn under the skin of a woman's breasts - astonishing........... I think Peter is genuine, is deeply sad the marriage failed, clearly loves his babes and puts them BEFORE his social life - I think Katie/Jordan is an emotional cripple who could benefit from therapy for her own sake and that of her offspring. She is acting like an 18 year old, yet is 30 I believe. She verbally castrated Peter every time she spoke to him - said she loved him, yet her words were of hatred and humiliation - I think she is shocked he refused to take her verbal diarrhoea any more. That Katie counts Michelle Heaton (another dysfunctional inadequate) as her best friend says EVERYTHING about her and her lack of insight into another person's character - she would do well to surround herself with people who have her best interests at heart......not hangers on

Bilko message 17 - have to agree but don't join the people who constantly post negatively about the decline of society in England. 99% are still decent people and it's still one of the best countries in the world. The ones in decline are the usual tabloid reading morons who have always been there and demonstrate their "culture" at holiday resorts around the world. Sadly, from some of the postings, a few are beginning to appear in TRNC.

zerochlor - true (by the by - the family of a friend of ours is eighth on Times Rich List - sniff) :0) Anyhoooooooooo - whilst Katie/Jordan has made gazillions - when the children grow up, won't they be more proud of a dad who has a half decent voice; is a principled person, with strong family values, than a mum who drops her drawers at the drop of a hat, is surgically enhanced and botoxed to within an inch of her life, is a drunken harpy in her third decade, and who has only made her fortune through the - er - weakness of blokes who, whilst they 'admire' her and want to bed her - would hardly take her home to mum, preferring to make their life partners women of substance, loyalty and rather fewer notches on their bedposts than Katie/Jordan proclaims. Interestingly, she always appears a wonderful mum to Harvey (has been quite emotionally cruel to the other two - occasionally) could it be because Harvey won't ever be a threat to her? She will always have the control? Methinks yes.

Msg 32. Littlejohn. Wish you were right about 99% of UK citizens are OK type folk. What about the new underclass? Estimates number these people at c. 6 million, often in the third generation of 'families' who have never known the world of work, members of the socialist client state, existing on handouts and the proceeds of crime. Consider this; more than 60% of British children under the age of 14 years do not live with their Mummy and Daddy; Mummy or Daddy with a variety of partners, but not biological parents, together. Being 'treated' by Dad to the zoo at the weekend followed by a cheap burger meal and compensated with the latest electronic gadgetry is hardly conventional or loving, or caring 'parenting'. This is what more than half the children get. I realise some are not unduly harmed by this dysfuncytionality of the traditional family unit, but generally most observers would agree that this is the root to the appalling UK crime figures. How sad that those unimportant

talentless 'celebs', with such a casual view of life which puts their own inflated egos above the concerns of their children, such as the subjects of this thread, should be allowed to inlfuence society so negatively. They and the media which profits from the promotion of mediocrity should be called to account. A free press, yes, but perhaps they ought to understand that the power of influence they wield on the vulnerable in society should be matched with some social responsibilty. Pigs might fly. Talking about pigs and troughs; are we surprised about social decline in Britain when we have such a bunch of lying freeloaders governing us from Westminster.... and now for the first time in history a second corrupt Speaker in succession! Jordan for PM I say, she couldn't be any worse than ANY member of the Commons or Lords! Her shape and sounds would certainly liven things up a bit. People might even vote!

Bilko - a bit over the top!!. You obviously do not see England as I see it but we will have to agree to differ. Politicians and people in power generally have always been corrupt. That's how they get where they are and that's how they stay where they are. I still think it's a good country despite them!! Oh and as for people existing on handouts etc I notice the enormous amounts of tax avoided/evaded by the wealthy is seldom mentioned. I have seen the plight of kids born to those who won't or can't work. Is it the kids fault? It's a vicious circle! And where are the jobs??

To remain sane after reading a thread like this, again about an empty-headed, big-boobed "celeb", a subscription to "Private Eye" (England's finest! - DC) is obligatory. Contributors to this thread don't want serious news, they want merely filth and freak-shows. So, who is really to blame for this filth - the editors and journalists who continue to push these tabloid stories on the front pages? Or the "news paper" readers and their lowbrow tastes? The readers have my vote.
