Does anyone have, or know of, apartments or bungalows for rent? Central or west Kyrenia. Our main problem is our budget, its only £200. Oh and the fact we also need furniture! We will be very good tenants

If anyone knows of anything please let me know. Thanks

trudy, just wondered why you can only afford £200 per month and then can spend over £400 on a t.v., prioroties just a little of course perhaps. Just nosey thats all, think if you could perhaps offer a little more for the rent, you may get plenty of offers, wish you all the best anyway, lol

Have you not considered buying a tent and saving even more money.

Still have to work to a budget of about £8-12 a day with the electricity for the TV mind.

Without the tent sleeping under the stars is even cheaper, but electricity could be an issue.

Consider an outlay for portable solar power and bobs your uncle, cost of living for free and no concerns for someones precious property and the profits they would have made from the £200 recieved.

If you consider agents fees ( £200), management ( £20-£30 per month) rental tax (£20 per month), Site fees £40 per month, Kitty fund for site bills/pool top up ( £300), repairs, insurance etc the owner would be making approx £3.00 per week. Based on an apartment that cost £3,000 to furnish, it would take 20 years before you broke even.

I don't think a lot of tenants realise, that the landlord has to pay 10% tax out of the rent he receives. On top of this if the property is on a complex there are the service charges to pay and council & property taxes. Add into the equation any repairs that may crop up, it doesn't leave a lot left. I think you may have to up your budget slightly to find anywhere.

Trudy, make sure your landlord is paying the rental tax or you may both be in trouble!
